New World in my View
Last night was possibly the best episode of True Blood yet. My jaw remained on the floor almost the entire hour. This show is cast, filmed and scored so well I think it has finally made it to my list of all-time favorite television.
Jason Stackhouse cracks me up - " This is the war I have been training for!" I almost fell off my couch when he strolled up on Merlotts with that chainsaw.

A few thoughts -
Bill cracks me up everytime he speaks in his forceful manner.
Sookie has some sort of additional supernatural power - what is it?
I continue to love Hoyt and Jessica.
I have come thisclose to reading the books to find out what is going on. My sister has the set, but she hasn't read them yet either. I usually don't really care about my shows being spoiled. I read up on Young and the Restless and Big Brother spoilers all thew time, but for some reason I can't let myself read the books until the show has played out.
2 more episodes this season!

I thought the same thing! It was a GREAT episode. The only thing that would have made it better would have been more than 3 minutes of Eric. The part when Jason and Andy threw the flares?
And I liked that song too!
Bad news for Eric fans. We've seen the last of him until next season.
I suppose he has gone into
mourning.

It was a cheezfest and hokey. I thought Jason to the rescue was ridiculous. I thought Sookie/Bill to the rescue was ridiculous. Not enough Eric. Too much Maryann (as usual). Too much zombie townsfolk scenes. Should I go on?
....oh and I just think transporting Bill in that pod coffin everywhere is hokey too. For some reason it makes Bill seem like pansy boy. I know he can't travel in light but I can't help but laugh when I see those pod coffins.
I thought it was campy - I think I loved it for all the reasons you hated it!
Well, I hope Shi isn't disappointed. I sent her an excited PM earlier about how great an episode it was and she ran off to watch.

I actually liked it!
The opening scene with Eric and Sookie was mouthwatering and - as
usual - left me wanting more...
There were so many one liners that totally cracked me up. That Maryann is such a freak. She just loves to create chaos, doesn't she? Freaking biotch can't even be killed by a vampire, gasp!
And I'm also intrigued by Sookie's new found power, what is it?
Also, I totally adore Hoyt and Jessica, they are sooo cute together! The typical teenage couple, only she's a vampire hahaha and she bit his mom! OMG what's going to happen with them now? hopefully they'll stay together. How freaking cute does she look when her fangs come out!? lol
Now The Queen... Queen of what? they have Sheriffs, Makers, Magister, and now this one huh? I can't believe that there are only 2 episodes left!
I am a fang banger too now, how am I going to feed my addiction until next season?!
Wait a minute- no more Eric? He was in the previews for next week and it looked like he was talking to Sam unless it was cut deceivingly. Which is entirely possible.
I actually really liked last night's episode. I thought some of the middle of this season was SLOW SLOW SLOW but it's FINALLY picking up and I'm excited. I was over the Maryann stuff like 2 episodes in, but I'm glad it's finally coming to a head. And I'm STOKED to see the queen, but I won't ruin it in case not everyone knows who she is. But I LOVE her.
I'm not sure PK - I just read on a blog elsewhere that we wouldn't see any more Eric until next season, I'd be happy if that is incorrect info.
It looks like from the IMDB site that Eric is in the next episode, but not the finale. And that bites.
I just watched a clip on the True Blood site for the upcoming episode and there is Eric. Fully dressed and even wearing a suit jacket WTH! but oh well, better than nothing. We demand more naked Eric!
And even if he's not in the finale, he'll definitely stay because the guy is a women's magnet!
More naked Eric! More naked Eric! We should start a petition.
