My favorite show returned tonite, from the verge of cancellation.
I love you, Friday Night Lights!
I love everything about this show. It takes me back to highschool, because High School Football WAS really important. I wasn't interested in the games so much, but you know where everyone is going to be on Friday Nights. At the game. So many dates happened at the football field. Good times.
The show is really good though beyond all of that. The characters are great and I love the camera work. It's different from anything else I see on TV.

Post a CommentI've never seen this show, but I've heard good things about it. Being from a college town with a HUGE football influence has really turned me off to anything football related!
Football wasn't big in my school because I went to small HS with only 100 people per grade. And I don't watch this show.
But I just saw the this show is on instant queue for Netflix so I'm going to watch it.
It's good Wren - even if you don't dig football. Like I said, you love the characters and the camera work makes you feel like you are watching a film. It's such a joy to watch.

My mom's had season tickets to the MN Vikings forever and is obsessed with football, so I had to like it growing up

3, i think. but it's been bounced around on different networks (also 3 i think). i got my husband and dad and bff's family hooked on it.
I had DirectTV and saw all of Season 3 already. IT IS AWESOME. It's more like Season 1. The "last" episode leaves so much opportunity (good opp.) I can't rave enough about this show or season!
I want a relationship like Coach and Tami.
p.s. You will def. break out the kleenex for a lot of episodes

Most of the characters are complex and layered. Which makes for great drama, with football as a drop-back.
Oklahoma and Texas are extremely similiar as far as Football being such a deep part of our culture. I love the show.
The cinematography and sound recording are unique. They use a special blend of camera lenz filters to create a southern ambiance on the screen. And the unique sound recording style has a special focus on the dialogue, which is captivating.
Love and football, its very entertaining.
